feeling crafty!

So one thing that i love doing is taking something old and making it into something new. well i found this fun project at threadbanger.com , it's by ryan moore and the title is how to make shorts from an old shirt. Now this guy made shorts for himself but i made some for ikaika out of two of my old shirts. To get the right size i just grabbed a pair of his pants and cut about an inch or so out from the edges. The logo was in the center of the shirt so by the time i was done, it ended up at the sides of both ikaika's pants. It's a fun little project and now ikaika has two more pajama pants.
his green pants
the red ones

Now i also had an old sweatshirt that belonged to my brother. I took out the stitching it, which didn't take too much time and measured the same way i did ikaika's pants. I laid out one of his sweaters and cut about an inch or so out. It's a little big but i figured it just gives him room to grow into. Though next time i will measure out the hoodie, cuz i left it at it's original size and it was huge! so i cut some fabric out and it fits better but it doesn't look that great. oh well, next time!

birdhouse

So with some free time today, ikaika and i made a birdhouse. I used a goldfish box we had just finished eating. First i had to spray paint the whole thing white so ikaika would be able to paint it.

we used a twig for the perch

Ikaika really had fun painting on his own and putting the bird food in the house when it was all done. He did a great job and was the biggest helper! I love my son, I'm the luckiest mom in the world!

Just Dance

So we got a new wii game, Just Dance! It's hilarious and what a workout! I got a few videos. We had the family up and about dancing to songs like the "mashed potato" and "hammer time!" Sterling kicked all our butts, who knew he was such a good dancer......can i say cheater!lol I'm still working on beating his score!

I missed getting a video of Ikaika, but I was really impressed with how well he could follow along.(He actually beat Justin once! ha ha) But that kid was showing off his break dancer moves! it was so cute, I'll have to try and catch him on video the next time.

We had to keep an eye on Ikaika because every now and then he would run through everyone dancing, and got knocked around from the swinging arms! It was more funny than anything, but he did eventually learn to watch out for all the dancers.

By the end of the night everyone was exhausted, did i mention what a work out it is? cuz it really is! plus we had been laughing our heads off!

Please sunshine come out!lol Plus\, I just wanted to post this cute picture!

Mitch and Linsey

It was a very chilly Tuesday morning, I don't know how Linsey didn't need a coat...maybe all the excitement kept her warm! Here are a few pictures of Mitch and Linsey wedding! They were married April 6th in the draper temple. I hadn't been up there for awhile, in fact i think the last time I saw the draper temple was when they were allowing everyone to walk through and check it out. But even though we were there for a few minutes it was nice to see the beauty of the temple and all the smiling faces! What a great day!

family photo time!

can you see what i see

I let Ikaika loose with my camera the other day and these are a few of his shots. Most cut off peoples heads, i ducked far enough to make it into my pic! It just made me laugh to see what he took pictures of like his toys or the fish and headless people! lol! What it must be like to see through a three year olds eyes!

Stocky's JJazz game

I as i was uploading my pic's i realized i had a few pic and vids of Justin's brothers last game. Ikaika had a lot of fun watchin his uncle play and Stockton did us proud, his team won! I'm sure he was confident in his skill and his team!

I think Ikaik had fallen and bit his lip, so daddy came to the rescue!

Can you see the instensity in their eyes~lol

The batteries in my camera were dying, so the videos are really short!

Happy Easter

Easter was a lot of fun, we had a family party where all the kids did an Easter egg hunt. Ikaika i think, thought the kids were just running around for fun, because that's what he kept doing. Though in the end he enjoyed all his goodies.
On Sunday, the Easter bunny brought ikaika lots of dragons and dinosaurs! We did a little Easter egg hunt around the house, he had a blast and then an awesome breakfast thanks to my parents right before conference!

Devon and Chrissy put together this dinosaur plus lion Easter basket! Ikaika was so thrilled he asked me to take a picture of his new toys! ha ha

Daddy helped Ikaika collect the Easter eggs around the house

This thing was fun. It's a little volcano that you fill up with warm water. When you put the egg in it, it starts to fizz. Then a dragon is born! Ikaika had a lot of fun with that.

Our Easter theme this year was dragons! My parents took Ikaika to see "how to train a dragon" and you guessed it! he loves dragons now! My mom even went out of her way to get ikaika, a shirt, pj's and shoes that light up( Ikaika's very favorite ) all matching the theme! But if you know my mom, he got half of that stuff before Easters~! lol

His new Viking outfit.

good morning Ikaika! He was excited to see what the Easter bunny brought

On our way home from the Easter party

Ikaika and his cousin Brody having a balloon fight! (These two are the same age, Brody is one day older)
I think Sterling and Marie ended up as collateral damage, lol!

Uncle Sterling up to no good. Had Ikaika chasing everybody around!

Ikaika and I collecting goodies!

Easter was a lot of fun and I hope you all had a good Easter too!

A few quick videos

babysitting Ikaika

Saturday morning I was able to babysit another little boy named Ikaika, while his parents were able to go down town for general conference. I don't know many other Ikaika's so it was pretty cool. My son kept introducing him as his cousin, little Ikaika! ha ha, it was really cute. Unfortunatly i only got one picture of the two of them conked out from playing together all morning! They had such a blast and I had so much fun being a kid with them. It also helped me fit conference in, since they occupied each other well. That and thank goodness for direct tv, i was able to record the whole thing!
