feeling crafty!

So one thing that i love doing is taking something old and making it into something new. well i found this fun project at threadbanger.com , it's by ryan moore and the title is how to make shorts from an old shirt. Now this guy made shorts for himself but i made some for ikaika out of two of my old shirts. To get the right size i just grabbed a pair of his pants and cut about an inch or so out from the edges. The logo was in the center of the shirt so by the time i was done, it ended up at the sides of both ikaika's pants. It's a fun little project and now ikaika has two more pajama pants.

Now i also had an old sweatshirt that belonged to my brother. I took out the stitching it, which didn't take too much time and measured the same way i did ikaika's pants. I laid out one of his sweaters and cut about an inch or so out. It's a little big but i figured it just gives him room to grow into. Though next time i will measure out the hoodie, cuz i left it at it's original size and it was huge! so i cut some fabric out and it fits better but it doesn't look that great. oh well, next time!
