Summer Break

Since I decided to do summer courses, my summer break was only a week but that's okay i had a really awesome time helping my neighbor out that week. She wanted to go out of town to see her new grand baby Genvieve, hopefully I spelled that right. So Justin, Ikaika and I spent the week with her two son's Julian and Joe. They are both amazing people, we really appreciated the time we spent with them.
Joe is a missionary at welfare square, he needs help to get around and just a lot of reminders so he doesn't forget anything. Julian was a great big help letting us know what to do and took very good care of his brother. I didn't take any pictures of this but these guys play a mean game of bowling on the wii. Joe was knocking down strikes all over the place ont he 100 pin game. Justin and Julian had tons of fun staying up late playing wii games. Me, on the other hand was lucky to stay awake!

This is the puzzle Joe tricked me into putting together. His sister told me no one likes to pull it out, cuz you end up putting the whole thing together for him. lol, thank goodness I love puzzles!

This is Joe!

I had to at least take his bike out once, he kept telling me all about it all week. So when it finally warmed up Saturday we rode it around the block while, (as you can see) Ikaika had a blast riding on he back.

Ikaika riding some little car around the driveway

Joe and Ikaika. Ikaika really had a good time with Joe

They thought it was hilarious to make the dog wear Joe's hat. Also the dogs name is Joseph, Joe named him as well as all his other pets Joseph because he says their his children. So cute!

Bowling Night!
We all went bowling one night and I didn't get the names in the picture but Ikaika beat us all in the first frame.
Joe-69
Ikaika-132
Somer-83
Justin-106
Julian-74

Joe has his very own star wars bowling ball! He was very proud of that and Ikaika found it equally fascinating because he insisted on bowling with it too! : )

Julian was showing us how he used to kick the bowling ball. I was pretty surprised when I saw it fly down the lane! Sorry I didn't get a good shot of it~

Justin showing off! lol

Ikaika being weird, mostly because he thinks it's so funny to see his funny faces in the pictures! ; )

Justin, Ikaika and Julian

Pizza! Can't have bowling without some pizza

All Smiles!

Look at the handsome man! I messed up his shot cuz of the flash from the camera. hahaha at least I got a good picture!

Just in time for summer!!

So my wonderful mother in law, took me out to get a pedicure with the girls, for my birthday earlier this month! It was fantastic! I'm not a big fan of manicure's i hate taking off fake nails because of how brittle and thin they feel afterwards. But getting a foot massage is the best ever! and having cute little toesies to show ain't that bad either! Thanks Heidi!!

Happy Birthday Lucus!!

Lucus is Ikaika's very best friend from school! Lucus's dad even informed us that ikaika is #4 on the prayer list "please bless mommy, daddy, brother and Ikaika!!"
hahaha
It's so cute to see these two together. I never really realized what a social life a three year old has! LOL
Well Lucus had his birthday bash earlier this month at Jungle Jims and these guys had a blast!
Pizza and cupcakes! yummm!!

Ikaika's present to Lucus, the wiggle car! Ikaika just loves playin with them at Justin's work so how could we pass this one up? Go Lucus!

Playin some basketball game...

Lucus licking up the icing from his cupcake, after ikaika blew out his candles and someone else knocked it over!lol, it was pretty funny though, Lucus was just happy to be there!

Geocaching Anyone??

Sterling got us doing geocaching one night with our good friends Jessica and Stephen. We ended up over by the Mayan and got a shot in. It's actually a lot of fun and even more fun when you have a working GPS. It makes it really difficult when you don't have an idea where it is because they are often cleverly hidden. If you haven't done it, you should check it out for yourself and i suggest bringing along a few friends!

Good Morning Ikaika

Woke up one morning to find this....

guess his feet must of been hot! lol
Ikaika is a funny sleeper because he can't keep still even in his sleep. I always find him curled up in a little ball because he's crawled out of his covers and now is freezing his tush off! Or he'll wake up in the middle of the night, crawl into our bed and Iget a foot in the face because he sleeping sideways across the bed! and did I mention sometimes he talks in his sleep! Not all the time but every now and then although it's definitely not coherent. But he is his daddy's son!
He definitely makes me smile!

feeling crafty!

So one thing that i love doing is taking something old and making it into something new. well i found this fun project at threadbanger.com , it's by ryan moore and the title is how to make shorts from an old shirt. Now this guy made shorts for himself but i made some for ikaika out of two of my old shirts. To get the right size i just grabbed a pair of his pants and cut about an inch or so out from the edges. The logo was in the center of the shirt so by the time i was done, it ended up at the sides of both ikaika's pants. It's a fun little project and now ikaika has two more pajama pants.
his green pants
the red ones

Now i also had an old sweatshirt that belonged to my brother. I took out the stitching it, which didn't take too much time and measured the same way i did ikaika's pants. I laid out one of his sweaters and cut about an inch or so out. It's a little big but i figured it just gives him room to grow into. Though next time i will measure out the hoodie, cuz i left it at it's original size and it was huge! so i cut some fabric out and it fits better but it doesn't look that great. oh well, next time!
